Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Assist with processing accounts payable, focusing on cleaning up AP backlog and non-PO AP activity.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close processes, reporting and related accounting tasks.
• Support sales tax filings, collections, and implementation of new credit card and expense management solutions.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation, and systems implementation while gaining exposure to analytical accounting and cost analysis.

Our client is a manufacturing organization in the Waukesha County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and has high attention to detail. The salary for this position is $60K - $68K.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Assist with processing accounts payable, with an immediate focus on helping clean up the AP backlog and supporting non-PO AP activity.
• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close processes, reporting, and related accounting support.
• Support sales tax filings, collections processes, and implementation of new credit card and expense management solutions.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation, and systems implementation efforts while gaining exposure to analytical accounting and cost analysis over time.

The Staff Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
