Job summary

Goodwill - Redwood Empire is seeking a Staff Accountant (Full-Time) for the Yolanda offices in Santa Rosa, CA. The role supports the Finance/Accounting department under supervision, with responsibilities across GL, AR, and billing processes.

The position is non-exempt, full-time (40 hours/week) and eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off. The starting wage is $35.00 per hour, with standard safety and compliance expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years’ accounting/finance experience, or five+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience with module-based accounting software; knowledge of Aptean Traverse highly valued.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts with supporting documentation.
• Reconcile Fixed Asset subsidiary reports with GL monthly and review asset lists.
• Maintain monthly general ledger journals and enter entries into the accounting system.
• Assist in monthly close and financial statements per close calendar.
• Prepare monthly program billings and monitor AR aging as advised by supervisor.
• Monitor daily sales and deposits and communicate issues to supervisor.
