Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide technical accounting support within the Accounting Department. This role ensures timely and accurate accounting, reporting and reconciliations in a hands-on, in-office environment.

Key duties include preparing period-end journal entries, monthly financial statements, and assisting with audits and compliance. Candidates should have 3-5 years of accounting experience and strong Excel skills; knowledge of D365 ERP and Dayforce Ceridian is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience in accounting.
3-5 years’ experience in accounting preferred; Understanding of GAAP.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). D365 and Dayforce Ceridian software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare period-end journal entries within scheduled deadlines for period close.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
Preparation of B&O/sales tax returns.
Assist in annual budget preparation and provide data for ad-hoc analyses and reports.
