Job summary

All Care Health Center is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage daily accounting and financial functions in a full-time role. You will maintain GL accounts, enter journal entries, and assist with budget integration and reporting.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, strong Excel skills, and understanding of HIPAA; benefits include health insurance, PTO, holidays, life insurance and retirement matching. Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM, in Council Bluffs, IA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Proficient Excel skills for data analysis.
• Knowledge of accounts payable standards and practices.
• Understanding of HIPAA guidelines to protect confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Record monthly journal entries and budget in GL system.
• Reconcile grants and monitor grant budget spending monthly.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation including credit cards.
• Submit uncashed checks to unclaimed property; daily deposits.
• Process payroll entries bi-weekly; handle 401K payments within 3 days.
• Assist with month-end close, tax and cost reports, audits.
• Support accounts payable tasks and backups.
