Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field; entry level with 1–3 years in non-profit accounting.
• Knowledge of general accounting and financial management; familiarity with grantor regulations and sponsored programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and fiscal year end close processes.
• Enter accounts payable data and banking transactions; maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Prepare schedules for audits (federal/state/city and program-specific audits).
• Analyze data and develop spreadsheet reports to verify program expenses.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting procedures; improve controls.
