Job summary

Apicha Community Health Center seeks a Senior Accountant in Manhattan to manage purchasing, accounts payable, journal entries, balance sheets, and bank reconciliations. You will support monthly closings, account analysis, and the Finance Department under the Controller.

Responsibilities include vendor invoice management, bank recs, program budgets, grant funding, daily cash balance checks, payroll data entry in ADP, and insurance coordination with brokers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required.
• Minimum five (5) years’ accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and AP cycle.
• Experience with program budgets, contracts, and multi-source funding.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and payables management and system monitoring.
• Complete bank reconciliations and review outstanding checks.
• Manage program budgets, contracts, and grants.
• Process payroll using ADP and update payroll records.
• Coordinate insurance applications and liaise with brokers.
