Job summary

Canopy A&D is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage general ledger, AP, AR, and administrative support in Irvine, CA. The role supports month-end and year-end closings, enhances internal controls, and contributes to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (AP/AR/GL).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for recurring, adjusting, and accrual entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and reconciliations.
• Support preparation of internal financial statements and audit-ready schedules.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation.
