Job summary

PJ Helicopters is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to maintain the general ledger, ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and support business operations. The role offers exposure to multi-state projects and public company controls.

Key responsibilities include GL management, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, AP/AR oversight, budgeting assistance, and SOX/compliance support, with opportunities for process improvements and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associates / Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business or related field.
• Must be detail oriented and able to handle highly confidential information.
• Public company experience is preferred and highly valued.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: maintain and reconcile accounts with accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant statements.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: oversee invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: assist in budgets and forecasts with actionable insights.
• Compliance: ensure SOX compliance and adherence to internal controls.
• Process Improvement: identify and implement efficiency improvements.
• Cross-department collaboration to ensure timely financial information.
• Participate in special projects requiring financial analysis.
