Century Mechanical Holdings in Harwich Port, MA seeks an experienced Staff Accountant to support our accounting team. You will prepare and record journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, assist with monthly close, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of accounting experience, QuickBooks Online proficiency, and construction or trades industry exposure.

Formación

• 3–5 years accounting experience required.
• Must have QuickBooks Online experience.
• Prior experience in construction, mechanical contracting, HVAC, plumbing, or skilled trades.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for reporting.
• Assist with internal financial statements and reports.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable as needed.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Provide documentation and support for audits.
• Maintain organized accounting records.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger.
• Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of internal financial statements and reports.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Provide documentation and support for audits.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Identify and recommend accounting and process improvements when appropriate.
• Work closely with accounting leadership and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
