Job summary

First Impression Ironworks - Commercial, Contractors, and Builders is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role supports month-end close with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency with QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, and MS Office. Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; experience can substitute.
• Experience with financial accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting concepts.
• Proficiency with financial software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Office; comfortable in Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank recs and general ledger reconciliations.
• Record journal entries and accruals to close the month.
• Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks.
• File and prepare sales/use tax reports.
• Communicate with property teams to track job costs.
