New England Mechanical Services, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, preparing journal entries, inventory control, and assisting with month-end/year-end closing in a GAAP-compliant environment.

The role requires a BS in accounting/finance and at least two years of related experience. Light travel to divisions is expected; in-person, full-time position in CT.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, business or finance from a four-year college and minimum two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel required.
• Able to perform monthly closing, reconciliations and job forecasting.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.

Mansioni

• Maintains financial records by posting monthly journal entries.
• Prepares and reconcile bank accounts.
• Assist with month-end / year-end closing processes.
• Support audits and tax compliance.
• Manage inventory counts and job costing reviews.
