Pivotal Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring GAAP compliance. The role involves general ledger tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities, with close collaboration across accounting teams.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and at least three years of relevant experience, along with strong Excel and ERP skills and a detail-oriented, analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• At least three years of general accounting experience.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and ledger experience.
• Experience with month-end close and journal entries.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining the general ledger and financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and depreciation.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly close and prepare supporting schedules.
• Provide guidance to accounts receivable and ensure accurate revenue posting.
• Maintain documentation for audits and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
