Griffin Media is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial records, and prepare GAAP-compliant reports under the supervision of the Statewide Accounting Manager. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and cross-department collaboration in a fast-paced media environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA candidacy is preferred with company support available for development.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Must maintain confidentiality of budgets, personnel matters, and company strategies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Perform month-end and year-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support AP/AR, invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for planning.
• Support external audits with schedules and explanations.
