Job summary

Energy Services of America Corporation is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in Huntington, WV. This full-time, in-person role supports day-to-day accounting functions and assists with financial reporting and internal controls.

Strong Excel skills and GAAP knowledge are preferred, with room for growth across ESA’s subsidiaries. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive salary, and opportunities for advancement within a growing public

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
• 0–3 years of accounting experience (encouraged to apply).
• Solid understanding of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post routine journal entries.
• Perform cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting support.
• Help maintain internal controls and support audit documentation.
• Provide minor accounts payable assistance as needed.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist with clerical duties.
• Complete other accounting-related duties as assigned.
