Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accounting or finance-related discipline.
• 1-3 years of progressive work experience, showing evidence of growth in responsibilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound fundamental knowledge of GAAP and general finance and budgeting principles
• Proficient in MS Office products with strong Excel skills
• Ability to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional personal organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for external financial statement audits and tax preparation.
• Perform accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Assist in responding to auditor requests.
• Prepare filing and payment of state corporate income taxes, sales and use tax, property tax, and other operating taxes.
• Organize and maintain company accounting for insurance programs, premium accruals, and audit exposures.
• Coordinate tracking of insurance surcharge programs and reporting to executives.
• Assist in transition of revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842; perform ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Participate in due diligence and integration work on acquisitions.
