Job summary

Bridgeway is seeking an Accountant in Macomb, IL for a full-time role at the Macomb office. The position oversees financial data entry, journal entries, and monthly closings while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

You will prepare financial statements, maintain the chart of accounts, and assist with budgeting and annual audits, including lease preparation and collection outreach where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business; 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
• Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon background checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely accumulation, analysis, and entry of financial data and produce accurate and timely financial reports.
• Prepare journal entries and distribute checks; record deposits.
• Coordinate closing of all Bridgeway corporations.
• Maintain chart of accounts and fixed asset records.
• Reconcile bank statements to checkbook and financial statements.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and assist in budget process.
• Assemble audit materials for year-end audits; prepare leases.
• Call on delinquent Bridgeway business accounts.
