Job summary

StevenDouglas is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Austin. You will own significant portions of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, managing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations while collaborating with operations to track inventory costs and variances.

In this role you will reconcile revenue streams across multi-channel platforms, oversee AP/AR flows, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of progressive, hands-on general accounting experience.
• Solid grasp of GAAP and accrual accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own core parts of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Track cost accounting; reconcile inventory between ERP and warehouse records; investigate variances.
• Reconcile multi-channel revenue & cash across retail and digital platforms.
• Oversee AP/AR flows, review coding, process disbursements, and manage aging schedules.
• Help streamline controls and cross-departmental reporting workflows.
