Job summary

Austin Tax Advisors is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle general accounting and financial activities at our firm. You will prepare accounting entries to registers and logs, follow established processes, reconcile accounts, and assist with monthly close.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 2+ years of accounting experience, is proficient in Excel, and can work independently with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 2+ years in accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs
• Follow our company's established accounting processes
• Perform monthly reconciliations and balance general ledger accounts
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Other projects as assigned
