Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. seeks a Staff Accountant to join a fast-paced accounting team in Houston. The role covers month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills who can adapt to ongoing projects and deadlines. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 2–4 years of full accounting cycle experience, and familiarity with MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting is required.
• D365 software experience is preferred.
• 2–4 years of full accounting cycle (AR, AP, Billings, Payroll, GL, Fixed Assets) experience.
• Construction background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up fixed assets in D365 F&O and supporting software.
• Transfer and update fixed assets in ERP.
• Send email notifications for equipment sales.
• Review, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and quarterly.
• Manage daily cash transactions and deposits; support month-end close.
• Use Excel and V-lookups to reconcile key accounts.
• Prepare Ad-Hoc reports related to GL, Fixed Assets, AP and Equipment Sales.
• Review and present monthly job profits; review job costing for operations.
• Establish and maintain efficient electronic filing system.
