Job summary

Associated Students SDSU is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage fixed assets, assist with audits, census reporting, and year-end close. The role supports AP/AR with reconciliations and batch audits, ensuring ASC 842 lease reporting compliance and policy maintenance.

You will handle asset reporting in Sage Fixed Asset, perform quarterly roll-forwards, and collaborate with the Finance Director on policies and annual census filings. Regular hours, on-campus environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field.
• Two years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Four years of experience in keeping or reviewing financial or statistical records, including general ledger.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with annual audits and compliance audits including UBI analysis.
• Manage Fixed Asset reporting in Sage Fixed Asset; maintain quarterly roll-forward schedules.
• Review AP batches and code Fixed Asset acquisitions.
• Oversee lease reporting per ASC 842 and CSU guidelines.
• Conduct annual census filings and manage escheatment processes.
• Reconcile bank entries and assist with monthly clearing accounts.
