The ideal candidate has a finance or accounting degree, 2+ years of related experience, and strong MS Office and Google Workspace skills. The position is full-time, on-site, with hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field.
• Two years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace abilities required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the annual audit of the financial statements and related compliance activities.
• Manage Fixed Asset reporting in Sage Fixed Asset (FAS) with quarterly roll-forward schedules.
• Review daily Accounts Payable batches, focusing on Fixed Asset acquisitions coding.
• Oversee lease reporting in compliance with ASC 842 and CSU guidelines and policies.
• Participate in annual CSU Self Assessments and remediation efforts from audits.
• Review and approve daily bank entries and desktop deposits; assist in bank reconciliations.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of clearing accounts and research unidentified deposits with AR staff.
• Collaborate with the Finance Director to review organizational policies for compliance.
• Maintain monthly and quarterly internal control documentation, including petty cash, vault counts, and purchasing card audits.
• Review and submit quarterly reconciliations for key accounts for final approval by Accounting Manager/Finance Director.
• Complete required annual census filings.
• Manage escheatment/unclaimed property procedures for all states.
• Reconcile and report A.S. loans and payments quarterly.
• Assist others in department with special tasks as assigned.
