The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close, and preparing financial reports in a collaborative manufacturing environment. The Staff Accountant will also back up Accounts Payable and Purchasing, with opportunities for professional growth and a strong emphasis on cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred, or Associate's Degree with equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to deta

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger records and accounting transactions
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting entries
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
• Generate reports and manage transactions within NetSuite and other accounting systems
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and check runs
• Review expense reports, company credit card activity, and supporting documentation for accuracy
