Job summary

Yamibuy is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in California. You will support daily accounting operations, GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional accounting/finance experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, GL accounting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities, journal entries, GL maintenance, and financial transactions.
• Verify vendor invoices, POs, terms, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Support accounts payable activities including payment processing and reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end close, including accruals and adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with internal/external audits by providing schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls.
