Job summary

Oklahoma Chiller is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to keep day-to-day financial operations accurate, organized, and moving forward. This role involves billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, purchase orders, reconciliations, and close support.

We want someone who thinks, investigates discrepancies, asks the right questions, and helps improve processes while working with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant accounting experience considered
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with AP, AR, billing, and reconciliations
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to investigate discrepancies rather than just identify them
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to organize competing priorities and follow through to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sense of ownership and accountability

Responsibilities

• Handle assigned day-to-day accounting activities including accounts receivable, invoicing, billing, collections, and cash receipts
• Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices and independently investigate discrepancies
• Own assigned components of the month-end and year-end close process
• Research accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve accounting issues
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records
• Identify inefficient or unclear processes and recommend improvements
• Help develop and document accounting procedures
• Support the accounting team and broader business wherever needed
