MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction, invites applications for a Staff Accountant at our Corporate Headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado. You will support month-end close, accounting reconciliations, and tax filings while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Effective time management and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business applications; pivot tables/advanced Excel preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the month end close and monthly reporting process, including journal entries and account analysis.
• Perform and review general ledger reconciliations and trial balance reviews.
• Prepare and file state and federal property and sales/use tax filings.
• Support annual and interim financial statement audits, including external audit support.
• Prepare Joint Venture or international project accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Utilize accounting systems to support various business/reporting needs.
• Contribute to special projects related to controls, system implementations, or process reviews.
