Job summary

MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction, seeks a Staff Accountant to support month-end close and financial reporting from its Corporate Headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado. The role focuses on general ledger, tax filings, audits, and project accounting for JV and international projects.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with strong Excel skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficient with MS Excel and Word; pivot tables and advanced Excel preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team and also analyze and act independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close and monthly reporting process, including journal entries and account analysis.
• Perform and review general ledger reconciliations and trial balance reviews.
• Prepare state and federal property, sales, and use tax filings.
• Support annual and interim financial statement audits and external audit requests.
• Prepare Joint Venture and/or international project accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Utilize accounting systems to support various business and reporting needs; participate in special projects.
