Job summary

BFL Construction Co., Inc. is hiring a Staff Accountant to support the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has construction experience and strong attention to detail. The position requires 4+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience, construction experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Exposure to construction ERP systems (Viewpoint, Procore).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in ERP.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Analyze GL account activity and investigate variances.
• Assist with audits and year-end tax preparation processes.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
