Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. is seeking a skilled accounting professional to support the monthly close processes in Irving, TX. This role prepares journal entries, analyzes financial data, and ensures accuracy in line with GAAP.

You will partner with business teams to support reporting and forecasting while strengthening internal controls and compliance. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience and CPA progression.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• MS Excel and accounting software proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and accruals.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and explain significant fluctuations and trends.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and management reporting packages.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statement footnotes, disclosures, and other supplemental reporting schedules for quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with audits, financial reviews, and documentation requests.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as needed.
