Job summary

7-Eleven, a global convenience retailer, is seeking an accounting professional in Irving, TX to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance across all statements.

• Education: Bachelor's/4 Yr Degree.
• Years of relevant work experience: 2+ years.
• Certifications/licenses: CPA designation or progress toward certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare journal entries and accruals.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and management reporting packages.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statement footnotes, disclosures, and other supplemental reporting schedules.
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with audits, financial reviews, and documentation requests.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as needed.
• Perform research and analysis to support accounting conclusions and business decisions.
• Review and interpret agreements or transactions for potential accounting and financial reporting implications.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen controls.
• Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Key Duties And Responsibilites

Education And Experience

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: CPA designation or progress toward certification.

Specific Knowledge And Skills

• Relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
