Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• One to three years of general accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and standard general ledger practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
• Experience with enterprise accounting or financial reporting systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established close and reporting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while communicating and collaborating effectively within a team.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and period-end journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet and general ledger accounts and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial schedules and supporting documentation for management, external auditors, and other reviews.
• Review general ledger activity for completeness, accuracy, and proper classification.
• Analyze significant or unusual account fluctuations and document the underlying causes.
• Prepare and file assigned tax returns, reports, and other financial obligations by established deadlines.
• Reconcile employee expense activity and follow up on missing documentation or unusual items.
• Monitor assigned income and expense accounts and communicate material issues to accounting management.
• Assist with the implementation, documentation, and ongoing performance of internal controls.
• Work with accounting and operational teams to identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with company retention requirements.
• Support accounting system implementations, testing, data validation, reporting, and other projects as assigned.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
