Greater Omaha Packing Co is seeking an Accountant to support our finance team in Omaha. You will prepare weekly, monthly, and period-end journal entries with supporting documentation and assist with month-end close activities.

The role involves reconciling balance sheets, reviewing GL activity, and preparing schedules for management and audits. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 1–3 years of general accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and

Formación

• Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger practices.
• Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, sorting, and data analysis.
• Experience with enterprise accounting or financial reporting systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and period-end journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts; resolve reconciling items.
• Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial schedules and documentation for management and audits.
• Review general ledger activity for accuracy and proper classification.
