Job summary

Nellis Auction in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory costing. This role partners with Operations and reports to the Director of Accounting, contributing to the company’s growth strategy and compliance with GAAP and tax requirements.

The ideal candidate will lead cost and inventory activities, perform reconciliations, manage journal entries, and provide actionable analyses to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly close with journal entries and analyses.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for inventory, cost, fixed assets, and payroll accounts.
• Own cost and inventory functions; monitor purchasing, freight, and standard/actual costs.
• Lead regular inventory counts with Operations to improve accuracy.
• Assist audits and tax requests; ensure GAAP compliance and ASC 842 lease schedules.
