Job summary

TXB is seeking a Staff Accountant in Bonham, TX to handle day-to-day accounting and support month-end close under the Senior Accountant.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in business, finance, or accounting and 1–3 years’ accounting experience, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred; relevant experience can substitute for education.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience as an Accountant.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of the company.
• Daily Pay Partner available.
• Health, dental, vision, disability, life and critical illness insurance available; eligibility based on hours and tenure.
• Vacation, holiday and bereavement leave; eligibility based on hours and tenure.
• Eligibility after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting functions and assist with month-end close.
• Report to Senior Accountant and work with team to meet internal deadlines.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain GL integrity.
• Assist with tax filings (Sales and Use Tax) and store location permits as needed.
• Maintain schedules for prepaids and post entries; assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Perform general office duties as needed.
