Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Staff Accountant to perform accounting functions, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, maintaining vendor information, and responding to inquiries. You will assist the supervisor in other finance duties as needed.

The role is non-exempt and requires proficiency in Excel, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with department heads and funding agencies. On-site work in Hawaii is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a year equivalent work experience in related field.
• Proficient in Excel and other office applications
• Valid Hawaii driver's license
• Travel off-island as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries.
• Perform assigned account reconciliations and other monthly closings procedures including clearing internal company transactions.
• Assist Corps Officers and/or Department Heads in all finance matters as needed.
• Setup and maintain customers and vendors.
• Work directly with department heads and funding agencies in relation to billing revenue and collecting receivables on a timely basis.
• Assist accounting manager and controller with internal & external audits schedules and other requests as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
• Ensure internal controls are in place and maintained.
