Job summary

ADU Express is hiring a Staff Accountant to own day-to-day accounting across our family of construction entities. You''ll run full-cycle AP/AR, keep the books clean across multiple companies, and manage the construction loan draw process that keeps our projects funded.

You''ll work directly with our Controller out of our Gardena office. This is an in-office role, five days a week at our Gardena headquarters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience including AP/AR.
• Hands-on QuickBooks experience.
• Experience with accounting across multiple entities (LLCs).
• Experience with construction loan draws.

Responsibilities

• Run full-cycle accounts payable and receivable across entities.
• Maintain accurate books across multiple entities including intercompany transactions.
• Prepare, submit, and track construction loan draw requests with lenders.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and support month-end close.
• Code job costs to the right projects in QuickBooks.
• Support the Controller with financial reporting, audits, and process improvements.

Location: 19210 S Vermont Ave, Building E, Gardena, CA 90248 (on-site)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $70,000–$90,000/year, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, in office daily

Reports To: Controller

About the Role

ADU Express is hiring a Staff Accountant to own day-to-day accounting across our family of construction entities. You'll run full-cycle AP/AR, keep the books clean across multiple companies, and manage the construction loan draw process that keeps our projects funded. You'll work directly with our Controller out of our Gardena office.

A Note on Working On-Site

This is an in-office role, five days a week, at our Gardena headquarters. Our accounting team works side-by-side with project managers and field staff, and that's where this job happens. If you're looking for hybrid or remote, this isn't the right fit — but if you like being where the action is, you'll be at the center of it.

What You'll Do

• Run full-cycle accounts payable and receivable: vendor invoices, billing, collections, and payment runs
• Maintain accurate books across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Prepare, submit, and track construction loan draw requests with lenders
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and support month-end close
• Code job costs and expenses to the right projects in QuickBooks
• Support the Controller with financial reporting, audits, and process improvements

Required

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including AP/AR
• Hands-on QuickBooks experience
• Experience with accounting across multiple entities (multiple companies or LLCs)
• Experience with construction loan draws
• Able to work on-site daily at our Gardena office

Preferred

• Real estate or construction industry accounting experience
• Bilingual: English/Spanish
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting

Compensation & Growth

• $70,000–$90,000/year, based on experience
