Midwest Rubber Service & Supply Co. is seeking an Accountant to support AP and AR functions, processing vendor invoices, creating customer invoices, applying payments, and keeping records in the ERP system.

Responsibilities include account reconciliations, month-end close support, and timely communication with vendors and customers to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and deadlines. This role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years in accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable (internships considered).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy and approvals, and ensure timely payment per policy.
• Perform three-way matching of PO, receipts, and invoices; resolve discrepancies.
• Generate customer invoices, monitor aging, and follow up on balances.
• Apply customer payments, reconcile activity, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities and reconciliations.
• Maintain organized financial records and internal controls.
