Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks an Accounts Payable Associate to support a high-volume AP environment. You will post invoices in SAP, manage vendor contacts, and assist with month-end close. This is an office-based role with limited travel across RWE locations.

Responsibilities include verifying invoices, maintaining vendor data, and ensuring timely payments while providing strong support for pay cycles and internal customers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in finance, accounting or related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in finance, with emphasis on account reconciliations.
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify and post invoices and payment requests to SAP within established time standards.
• Review weekly aging reports to ensure posted invoices are paid timely.
• Review payment proposals to ensure all approved invoices are included in the payment run and address exceptions.
• Communicate with vendors and internal customers on accounts payable discrepancies.
• Ensure vendor banking details are up to date in SAP.
• Perform month-end close activities including AP accruals and resolving discrepancies.
• Set up manual wires in the bank’s online system as needed.
