Job summary

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the accounting team in Norwalk, CT. This role offers growth into general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close, with a strong focus on accurate AP processing and ledger postings.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of AP experience, solid understanding of debits/credits and GLs, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems. Attention to detail is essential for success in a multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with full-cycle AP and account reconciliations; ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities.
• Process vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and payment runs.
• Ensure accurate expense coding, approvals, and GL postings.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash-related accounting activities.
• Prepare AP-related accruals and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 reporting.
• Resolve vendor discrepancies and monitor outstanding payables.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements.
