Job summary

PJ Fitzpatrick, LLC is seeking an Accounting Professional to join on the ground floor of a fast-growing mid-sized company with a top-tier culture. You will provide accounting and financial support across markets and products, interacting with customers, vendors and internal departments. The role emphasizes AP, journal entries, and reconciliations with opportunities for professional growth.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm. Pay: $60,000 with potential monthly incentives.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or related major required.
• Experience with accounts payable and invoice reconciliation desirable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills needed.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Vendor invoices: ensure data accuracy in GL and reconcile with PO.
• Reconcile differences with production and vendors.
• Timely data input and adjustments as needed.
• Reconcile open AP to vendor statements.
• Prepare daily/monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (AP).
• Post journal entries into GL, including vendor accruals.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate on solutions.
• Support other accounting team members.
• Additional duties as needed.

Accounting Professional

This role provides an excellent chance to join on the ground floor of a fast-growing mid-sized company with a top-tier culture. Work environments will include both independent and team settings. The employee filling this position will provide accounting and financial support to PJ Fitzpatrick and each of its different markets and products. There will also be many opportunities for personal and professional continuing education. Communication skills will be enhanced as the position will interact with customers, vendors and internal departments including sales and production. The role requires some experience in Accounts Payable, specifically focused on date and invoice reconciliation. This role also provides someone with a quick learning curve the opportunity to grow as the company continues to grow and expand.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Vendor Invoices - Ensure accuracy of invoice data in the GL and reconcile against existing purchase orders
• Partner with Production and Vendors on reconciliation differences
• Timely data input and adjustments are required
• Reconciliations of open AP to Vendor Statements
• Prepare daily/monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, such as AP
• Accounting Entries - prepare and post journal entries into company general ledger. Entries include but are not limited to vendor accruals
• Identify areas of process improvement and work with others to solution
• Support for other accounting team members
• Additional duties as needed
