Job summary

KIPP North Carolina seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on accounts payable, vendor invoices, credit card accounting, and reconciliations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will enter transactions, maintain documentation, and assist with general ledger activities across KIPP NC entities.

Qualifications

• Experience handling accounts payable processes for multiple entities.
• Ability to enter and process vendor invoices accurately.
• Experience coding and reconciling credit card transactions.
• Working knowledge of general ledger activities and month-end tasks.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and documentation controls.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports accounts payable across KIPP NC entities, organizing and maintaining invoices.
• Enters invoices and AP transactions in Ramp and related systems.
• Codes transactions accurately by department, school, entity, and account.
• Reconciles credit card activity and resolves discrepancies with budgets.
• Assists with recurring journal entries and general ledger activities.
• Prepares schedules and supports monthly/quarterly/year-end close.
