Job summary

KIPP North Carolina Public Schools Inc seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. You will handle accounts payable, vendor invoices, journal entries, credit card transactions, and reconciliations across NC entities.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll work with the Finance Team to ensure timely, accurate financial records, apply GAAP, and grow in a role with increasing ownership of recurring processes and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; bachelor’s degree welcomed.
• Experience in accounts payable, credit card and general ledger activities.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial documentation accuracy.
• Familiarity with accounting systems like LINQ or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Supports accounts payable across KIPP NC entities, entering invoices and maintaining documentation.
• Processes invoices in Ramp and records transactions in LINQ.
• Performs credit card accounting and transaction coding checks.
• Assists with recurring entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Prepares schedules and supports monthly, quarterly, and year-end processes.
• Maintains organized workpapers and documentation for audits and reviews.
