KIPP North Carolina Public Schools Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, reporting to the Accounting Manager, and ensure accurate records across KIPP North Carolina entities.

The role emphasizes accounts payable processing, credit card and expense accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules, with growing ownership as processes are learned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree welcomed but not required; relevant experience considered.
• Experience in accounting processes including AP, journal entries, and reconciliations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable processing for multiple entities, including invoice entry and documentation.
• Enter and process AP transactions in Ramp and LINQ systems.
• Perform credit card and expense accounting, including coding and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Assist with account reconciliations, schedules, and monthly closes.
