KIPP North Carolina is seeking an Accounting Associate to support AP, vendor management, and journal entries in a fully remote role based in North Carolina. You will work with Ramp and LINQ to maintain accurate records and assist with monthly and year-end close processes.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and effective communication within a nonprofit charter school environment. Prior experience in financial operations is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with working knowledge of debits/credits and financial statements.
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or related financial operations is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., LINQ, Ramp) is required.

Responsabilités

• Supports full accounts payable cycle: vendor invoices, Ramp entries, and 1099 prep assistance.
• Codes and reconciles credit card and expense transactions with appropriate accounts and entities.
• Posts routine journal entries and supports month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assists with reconciliations, balance sheets, and financial schedules; researches questions in financial systems.
• Collaborates with Finance Team to follow the calendar, document procedures, and identify process improvements.
