Job summary

Ready Restrooms is hiring a Staff Accountant for our Branch Support Center in West Des Moines. You’ll own month-end close components, run payables, manage the corporate card program, and assist with fixed assets, sales tax, and system reconciliations.

A CPA path and automation projects are encouraged. We seek a candidate with 1–3 years in accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and solid Excel/QuickBooks Online skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; internships count.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar, plus advanced Excel (lookups, pivots).
• Comfort working with branch managers, drivers, and vendors.
• Bonus for multi-location/service/rental exposure or CPA interest.

Responsibilities

• Own key pieces of month-end close including reconciliations, recurring journal entries, and accruals.
• Run accounts payable from invoice entry and coding through payment runs.
• Manage corporate card program, collecting receipts and reconciling monthly.
• Support Senior Accountant, Billing & Systems on fixed assets, sales tax, and system reconciliations.
• Keep files audit-ready and assist CPA, insurance audit, and 1099 schedules.
• Help document processes and adopt new automation tools.

Looking for an accounting role where you’ll get experience across the whole cycle instead of doing the same task every day? Ready Restrooms is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our team at the Branch Support Center in West Des Moines.

We’re a growing, privately owned portable sanitation and rental company with multiple locations. Our team is small enough that your work gets noticed, and we’re growing fast enough that there’s real room for you to grow with us.

What you’ll do

• Own key pieces of month-end close, including reconciliations, recurring journal entries, and accruals
• Run accounts payable from invoice entry and coding through payment runs
• Manage our corporate card program, including collecting receipts across branches and reconciling monthly
• Support our Senior Accountant, Billing & Systems on fixed assets, sales tax, and system reconciliations
• Keep files audit-ready and help prepare CPA, insurance audit, and 1099 schedules
• Help us document processes and adopt new automation tools

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships count, and strong recent grads are welcome)
• A solid understanding of reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or a similar systemStrong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
• Comfort working with branch managers, drivers, and vendors
• Bonus points for experience in a multi-location service, rental, or route-based business, exposure to ServiceCore, or an interest in pursuing your CPA

Pay:

$55,000-$65,000 per year

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, on-site, with some extra hours at month-end close

You’ll report to our Accounting Manager and learn alongside our Senior Accountant. You’ll also get structured onboarding through our Best Start Program, with regular check-ins to help you grow.
