Job summary

Augusta ENT PC is seeking a Staff Accountant for a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA. The candidate will manage accounts payable, support monthly close, and help with financial reporting and internal controls. Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with multi-entity accounting are preferred.

Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is required, with AP automation experience (Bill.com/Divvy) preferred. Healthcare or physician-practice accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting/finance required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including substantial accounts payable.
• GAAP knowledge and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems; AP automation experience preferred.

Duties (summary):

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the organization's accounts payable function while supporting general accounting activities, financial reporting, and the monthly close process. This role combines strong operational accounting with technical accounting responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely vendor payments, and compliance with internal controls.

Requirements

Candidate Profile:

• Associate’s degree in accounting or finance required, with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including substantial accounts payable responsibility. Bachelor’s degree preferred.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with AP automation platforms such as Bill.com, Divvy, or similar, preferred.


• Healthcare, physician-practice, multi-location, and/or multi-entity accounting experience, preferred.


• Highly detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple competing priorities.


• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
