Job summary

Oklahoma Chiller Corporation is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations in Tulsa. You’ll handle billing, AP, AR, cash receipts, POs, reconciliations, and month-end close support, while investigating discrepancies and improving processes.

You’ll work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to keep records accurate and organized, own issues, and contribute to long-term improvements as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant accounting experience will be considered
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with AP, AR, billing, and reconciliations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to investigate discrepancies rather than simply identify them
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to organize competing priorities and follow work through to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sense of ownership and accountability

Responsibilities

• Handle assigned day-to-day accounting activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, billing, collections, and cash receipts
• Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices and independently investigate discrepancies
• Own assigned components of the month-end and year-end close process
• Research accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve accounting issues
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records
• Identify inefficient or unclear processes and recommend improvements
• Help develop and document accounting procedures
• Support the accounting team and broader business wherever needed

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

COMPENSATION: $25–$32/hour, plus overtime opportunities
