Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Madison, WI office. This on-site role offers a salary range of $65,000–$75,000 and clear opportunities for long-term career growth.

You will perform account reconciliations, post journal entries, review accounts payable, manage daily cash activity, and support month-end close, with potential progression into a Senior Accountant position.

Qualifications

• Prior accounting experience with strong account reconciliation skills; prepaid accounting experience is highly valued
• Accounts payable experience with a solid understanding of general ledger accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience will also be considered
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Excel is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and assist with cleanup and resolution of outstanding items
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Review and process accounts payable invoices
• Manage daily cash activity, including ACH debits, customer payments, and positive pay approvals
• Support month-end close and develop into financial statement preparation
