Job summary

CFS in Madison, WI is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing, people-focused organization. You'll support reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close as part of a young, collaborative accounting team.

Qualifications

• Prior accounting experience with strong account reconciliation skills; prepaid accounting experience is highly valued
• Accounts payable experience with a solid understanding of general ledger accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience will also be considered
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Excel is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and assist with cleanup and resolution of outstanding items
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Review and process accounts payable invoices
• Manage daily cash activity, including ACH debits, customer payments, and positive pay approvals
• Support month-end close and develop into financial statement preparation
