Job summary

The DeMontrond Auto Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to perform traditional accounting duties, account reconciliations and support the monthly close process at our Houston-area dealerships.

The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of CDK/ADP, accounts payable, financial statements for automotive dealer operations and strong Excel/Word skills. A High School diploma and at least 3 years of dealership accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma required.
• 3 years of dealership accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform traditional accounting duties and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly accounting close process.

Staff Accountant

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will perform traditional accounting duties, account reconciliations and duties related to monthly accounting close.

Successful Candidate will possess:

• Extensive knowledge of CDK/ADP
• Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable and Corporate Credit Card Administration
• Extensive knowledge of Manufacture, Bank and F/P reconciliations
• Extensive knowledge of Sales Tax Returns
• Extensive knowledge in Automotive Billing
• Extensive knowledge of CIT/ Banking Reports
• Extensive knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements
• Working knowledge of most accounting office positions
• Working knowledge of positive pay
• Working knowledge of finance reserves

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of a High School diploma required. 3 years of dealership accounting experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook is required.
