Job summary

Shifflett & Philips is seeking a staff accountant with strong QuickBooks experience to support a variety of clients across industries. The role includes managing monthly activity, preparing bank reconciliations, and providing financial statement preparation and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of QuickBooks experience, be able to work in-office, and travel to client sites as needed. CPA-firm experience is a plus and a detail-oriented, self-managed professional is

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using QuickBooks is required.
• Experience with CPA firms is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage client engagements.

• Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting.
• Process corporate bank reviews and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• EOM and YE close routines.
• Review payroll tax payments and filings.

Shifflett & Philips is looking for a staff accountant who is significantly experienced in QuickBooks and can provide financial support to a variety of clients in different industries. The ideal candidate will be able to manage monthly activity, prepare bank reconciliations, and provide financial statement preparation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting
• Process corporate bank account reviews and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• EOM and YE close routine
• Review payroll tax payments and filings
• Use and implement QuickBooks for clients (QuickBooks Desktop & QuickBooks Online)

Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Preferred associate accounting degree or equivalent experience
• Experience working with a CPA firm is a plus
• Professional presentation and conduct is required
• Must be responsible and self-managed, have excellent follow-up and tracking skills and be detail-oriented
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in QuickBooks is required
• Able to work in-office and travel to client sites
